In this Customer Story, we learn more about Agroexport Internacional SA de CV from Mexico. The company was founded in 2002 by Alfredo Rodríguez and his wife Laure Lemus. Their main focus is almost exclusively Hass Avocados, a variety of avocados with dark-green bumpy skin. In order to improve efficiency and quality, and to reduce labor, Agroexport was looking for a trustworthy automated solution. They found theirs in TOMRA Food's optical sorting and grading system called Spectrim, in collaboration with Rochin Postharvest.The Spectrim gives Agroexport the ability to maximize the value of each avocado by detecting critical defects such as scabs, sunburn, and fungus.
