TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's citrus infeed solutions ensure a gentle transition from bin or field box to the sorter. Options include:
Our bin tipping technology is fully automated and efficient and dumping bins of citrus gently onto belts or into water flumes for transportation. Our systems cater for between 45-100 bins per hour.
Using a series of steel conveyor rollers with a gap between each roller, undersized citrus are redirected before they reach the grader. Fixed and variable options are available.
Sanitizing is performed to reduce mould and bacteria load on fruit. Disinfection of the fruits surface is part of the overall sanitation process.
Citrus is washed and brushed prior to treatment. Washing units prepare the surface for fungicides and protective coatings as well as enhancing the appearance of your fruit.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac provides a full range of drying units including a full drying room and conventional and vertical tunnels. All options control temperature and humidity as the citrus passes through to ensure moisture is removed.
The TOMRA Fresh Food Dynamic Lane Balancer allows you to maximize the operational effectiveness of your sorting line by providing overall increased throughput through better distribution of fruit while reducing spill and recycle rates, and damage to fruit.
Central to TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's citrus solutions is our state-of-the-art sorting technology. Your production requirements and capacity determine whether single, dual or multi-lane sorting capabilities is right for your packhouse. What differentiates our sorting solutions is our innovative, industry-leading Spectrim, Inspectra2 and InVision citrus grading systems. Both systems reduce labor requirements and provide you with unparalleled sorting consistency and accuracy.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's weighing and pack optimization software delivers unsurpassed accuracy by meeting pack specifications, reducing citrus giveaway and maximizing profits.
Our intelligent, easy-to-use software enables consistent grading of citrus by color with the ability to define 16 different grades of colour.
The quality and consistency of surface blemish sorting, reduces labor and packing costs and effectively sorts for surface damage, texture, blackspot and scarring.
Using TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's intelligent and easy-to-use software, fruit images are analyzed with multiple measurements to ensure accuracy, consistent size and shape sorting of citrus.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac are pioneers in density sorting of citrus. We use innovative mathematical algorithms to accurately determine volume and weight measurements and density calculations for state-of-the-art frost damage grading.
Reduce your fruit giveaway with Inspectra2 - a non-invasive solution for internal defect grading. The NIR spectrometer can detect brix, acid, frost damage and granulation via TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's Inspectra2.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's packing solutions have been designed with citrus in mind, ensuring a particularly gentle transition and handling. We have many citrus packing solutions to meet the different needs of our customers including:
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's automatic box filling machine has weighing options at the outlet of the sizer to fill boxes with a specific volume of fruit.
We offer a full range of units designed to fill bins in a gentle and smooth motion without damaging the citrus. Our fillers include a sensor to control the citrus level and come with options for both manual and automatic filling of bins.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's manual or semi-auto bagging systems use unique optimizers to select the optimal combination of fruit across the sorter, ensuring accurate bag weights are achieved, with the minimum possible giveaway.
High production units for packing boxes of citrus. The packer uses gentle handling to ensure the citrus is delicately packed without any damage and presentation is high.
Reduce your labor requirements with our automated Carton Handling Systems (CHS).
The CHS tracks cartons from the sorter and distributes them to different destinations within the packhouse for palletizing and shipping. These intelligent systems can manage multiple boxes, products and destinations simultaneously. CHS integrates with the TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac Pack Printing system to automate carton labelling and data transfer to your ERP system for traceability, compliance and stock control.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's pallet handling solutions improve efficiency. Our robotics ensure efficient and safe transportation of pallets around the packhouse, especially for high volume.
TOMRA Fresh Food | Compac's data and integration solutions track and record all citruses as they cross the sorter. This information can then be shared with other packhouse systems such as ERP, traceability systems and carton printing applications. Reports on the performance of your operation can be generated, allowing you to feed this information back into your operation, making changes to optimize efficiency.
